Hey gang…we’ve resurrected all the data from the old food map and placed it online here. Now you can find all sorts of fresh tasty treats in Atlanta. Or at least, northeast Atlanta…we definitely need yalls help in finding things in the rest of Atlanta! We just don’t get over there that much…
There are a bunch of things that grow all over Atlanta, and it’s tough to know what to do with them. Blackberries and muscadines are everywhere, but usually in such small quantity that it’s generally not worth putting them on the map. Mulberries and pecans are also everywhere, but usually quite abundant, so mapping every one of them would be impossible. We’ll try to keep markers for those things limited to especially prolific batches (such as the mulberries on Emory’s Clairmont campus – huge!).
