Concrete Jungle is proud to host Ciderfest ‘10! Ciderfest is an annual event open to the public where fruits that are unfit to donate (apples and pears with pierced skin) are cleaned, cut, ground and pressed into delicious cider. The event is free and so is the cider, though donations are appreciated and will all go towards Concrete Jungle. Don’t forget a blank t-shirt for your own beautiful, trendy, work-of-art Ciderfest ‘10 silk-screened paraphernalia.

Yonder toll the evening bells of summer! And we travelers are left far from the carefree and warming days whence we began our journey. But hark! we proceed down our path not with heads hung low….for soon found is sanctuary still from summer sunset, and its name be Ciderfest. There are many verbs at a place such as Ciderfest, and principally among them are bask, partake, and cherish. For we have all suffered through many distractions and tasks these passing days, and though the days be carefree and warming, our skill at basking, partaking, and cherishing has likewise suffered. Thus let us stop at this place called Ciderfest and recover our facilities, such that we can sustain ourselves and one another through these onward months. At this second 3rd annual Ciderfest, we shall feature the finest in pressed fruit nectars, which while exotic in taste, are obtained solely from lands, yards, and roadsides native and familiar. As a natural accompaniment, there shall also be food, exclusively selected, delivered and possibly grilled by the patrons of Ciderfest in the potluck style. It is conveyed that patrons of Ciderfest will feel no qualms about carrying with them in attendance any creatures in their possession, be they natural spawn of human descent or creatures of canine tendencies. furthermore, those in attendance of Ciderfest are encouraged to bring with them any curios, pastimes, and any instrument or device of merriment, in order to contribute to the collective delight of all. |
